Section Update

We hope you’ve had a great time off and are ready to get back into Scouting after our short break. This session we have quite a few exciting events planned and we will be working towards several badges including challenge and activity badges as well as concentrating some time on the basic Scouting skills, activities and beliefs.

We will also be doing some camping… I know that some of you have yet to come away with us and I know that for many it will be the first time away from home. Camping is an essential part of Scouting and for many it is one of the most exciting things you can do, just ask the Scouts and Explorers who have just returned from a week at Red Rose International Jamboree!

It’s not always easy, you won’t have your Xbox or television but you will learn new and exciting skills and come home from a Scout camp feeling proud that you have acheived something that many of your class mates wont ever try.

I hope that with the forthcoming Back to Basics Patrol camp you will all attend and support your Patrol and your fellow Scouts.
